Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb missed practice Thursday with an ankle injury he sustained at practice Wednesday. As anyone in the fantasy football world knows, a mid-week injury designation is never a good thing.

Earlier Thursday morning, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said he expected Lamb to be limited in practice. That did not end up being the case.

The injury bug had hit Dallas of late but they received good news that quarterback Dak Prescott was back at practice. He was a full participant in practice Thursday. Dak Prescott missed last week's win at Minnesota but backup Cooper Rush performed admirably in the 20-16 victory.

CeeDee Lamb fantasy owners might want to make alternate plans in case he is unable to suit up for their game on Sunday at home vs the Denver Broncos.

Lamb is in the midst of a breakout season. He has 609 receiving yards in only seven games. Dallas already had their bye week. Fantasy managers who used an early to mid-round pick to select him have to be happy with their return.

All eyes will be on Lamb at Friday's practice to see if he can get in at least limited work. If he is unable to practice in any form, look for Amari Cooper to leap back into the WR1 conversation. Tight end Dalton Schulz and third-string wide receiver Cedrick Wilson could also soak up a few more targets.

If you are looking elsewhere on the waiver wire, Carlos Hyde is still available in far too many leagues. James Robinson did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. If he is unable to play, on sheer volume alone, you can count on Hyde being a decent flex play option.
