Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott injured his knee during the NFC Wild Card against the Seattle Seahawks. Fortunately, head coach Jason Garrett is optimistic that his status for Saturday is not in jeopardy.

Prescott was able to log in a full practice already this week. According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, Garrett feels it will be a non-issue.

“No concerns,” Garrett said.

This is certainly an encouraging update for the Cowboys. Prescott had suffered the injury while being flipped in the air during following a crucial run versus the Seahawks in the fourth quarter. It appears he was able to make it out unscathed and is a full-go for Saturday.

There is no question that Dallas will need Prescott to be at his best versus the Los Angeles Rams in this week's NFC Divisional Round. Although his numbers have been largely underwhelming this season, he has done a solid job of managing the offense during clutch moments. He will be expected to fill that role once again versus this porous Rams defense.

The Cowboys have maintained their run-heavy approach going into the playoffs thanks to a spectacular performance by running back Ezekiel Elliott. It is safe to assume they will try to get Elliott going early and often against a Rams defense that has struggled to contain the run. The matchup on offense bodes well for Dallas, however, Prescott will need to air it out at some point in order to keep Los Angeles out of the box.
