Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was in a good mood after his team beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and is now back to dreaming his team can still something special this season.

With the Cowboys win they have put themselves in a position to clinch the NFC East with a win on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“You know that I have that as a common thesis as I stand here with you, as someone who’s had a dream and lived a dream,” Jones said via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “I certainly, if anyone can, believe that those kinds of things can happen to you. I don’t have to think that it’s something you read about or it happens to somebody else. I’ve had it happen to me in many ways in my life. Yes, I think we can live a dream here and have some good things happen.”

Jones said because he is still focused on the team doing big things this year he hasn't even though about what the future could hold for the team.

“That implies that I’d concluded and had assessed the future, and that’s not correct,” Jones said. “So I had not reached that point, and wouldn’t under any circumstances until this season is over. What it does is remind me the season’s not over.”

That could be good news for Cowboys coach Jason Garrett because he could still control the destiny of the future. It is still probably going to take a deep run in the playoffs but if the Cowboys make it their first game will be at home and then anything could happen.

Before that can become possible the Vikings need to win on Sunday against the Eagles.
