The Dallas Cowboys started the season with a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and have to face the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday. However, they are having huge issues off the field. Defensive end Randy Gregory tested positive for Covid-19, while Damarcus Lawrence broke his foot in training and that will sideline him for the next 6-8 weeks.

In addition to all that, their starting right tackle La'el Collins is still not available for selection. He missed all of last season due to hip surgery, but while he seems to be healthy, Collins will not be available due to a five-game suspension. The Dallas Cowboys player has now missed three drug tests in a row which caused an automatic suspension from the NFL.

However, it seems like Collins and his representatives will be appealing the decision. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he claims that all three missed tests have valid explanations behind them. His representatives are claiming that one missed test came after the whole team was sent home in November, due to a part of the coaching staff passing away. The second came after the Dallas Cowboys sent Collins home for his uncle's funeral, while the third was just after his hip surgery.

Should the suspension remain, Collins would be back for Dallas in late October. He started 63 out of 65 possible games for the Dallas Cowboys in his career, only missing games due to toe and hip injuries in the past.
