Stephen A. Smith is an extremely popular sports analyst and many agreed with his decision to take the New Orleans Saints beating the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. Unfortunately, that prediction could not have ended up being more wrong. Dallas ended up defeating the Saints by a final score of 13-10.

In a clip shared by @DylansRawTake on Twitter, Smith picked the Saints to crush the Cowboys and he completely whiffed on that prediction.

Dallas made a point on Thursday night and proved that they are a team to be reckoned with in the NFC. They defeated the Saints, which is big in an of itself, but the way they did it was impressive.

Coming into this week's matchup, the Saints' offense was untouchable. Drew Brees and company were playing at an insanely high level and many thought they were going to breeze past the Cowboys. That did not end up being the case, as the Dallas defense shut down the Saints in every way possible.

Jason Garrett and company have had a roller coaster season, to say the least. At one point, the team looked to be headed for a high draft pick and missing the playoffs. Now, they are in first place in the NFC East division and are looking like a team that could make some noise come playoff time.

Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, and the rest of the Cowboys' roster are showing that they should not be taken lightly.

Expect to see the Cowboys use this win as a huge momentum boost. They may not be a legitimate Super Bowl contender when everything is said and done, but they are a team that no one will want to face if they continue playing the way they did against the Saints.
