The Washington Commanders made a big move on Wednesday, acquiring Carson Wentz via trade from the Indianapolis Colts. It's not the best deal in the world and it seems the Dallas Cowboys are already chomping at the bit to face Washington next season. Especially star cornerback Trevon Diggs.
Trevon Diggs sent a one-emoji reaction to the news of Carson Wentz going back to the NFC East to play for the Commanders. The Cowboys have tortured their division rival over the years as Washington has struggled to find a competent quarterback since letting go of Kirk Cousins a while back.

Diggs won't be the only Cowboys defender excited about Washington trading for Carson Wentz. Micah Parsons proved to be the next big star and should have no problem rushing Wentz at all next season. Hopefully, for the Commanders' sake, Ron Rivera finds a way to get his newly acquired quarterback to play at a high level. It's a far-fetched idea, as Wentz has been awful since the end of the 2018 season.
For the Commanders, they whiffed on trading for Russell Wilson and ended up settling for Carson Wentz. This is an ideal situation for Trevon Diggs, as the interception master will aim to continue wreaking havoc among his opponents. The Cowboys look to be in good shape in the NFC East, despite going through some major changes to the offense.
At the end of the day, Trevon Diggs and the Cowboys should feel great about their chances in the 2022 season. As for the Commanders, they could be searching for a quarterback to replace Carson Wentz sooner, rather than later.
