There are a lot of questions surrounding Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott heading into the team's most important game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys gunslinger is dealing with a shoulder injury, and former NFL team doctor David J. Chao thinks it could have a big impact on his game.

Just because the shoulder MRI didn't show a tear, doesn't mean he can throw and be effective vs @Eagles. pic.twitter.com/pgIq0wyksE— David J. Chao – ProFootballDoc (@ProFootballDoc) December 18, 2019
So will Prescott perform well or will the shoulder injury have a big impact on his play? Let's breakdown three bold predictions for Prescott's performance.
3. Prescott throws two touchdowns in the first half
Undoubtedly Prescott will have some sort of pain management before the game, be that via injection or another medicine, that comes with the shoulder injury. During the first half Prescott will probably feel pretty good and it should lead to some success.
The Eagles' secondary is terrible and Prescott is going to attack it. Dwayne Haskins threw for 261 yards in the last game against the Eagles. The Cowboys should move the ball up and down the field and two of those drives will end with touchdown passes by Prescott.
2. Prescott doesn't throw it more than 15 yards down the field
Article Continues BelowEven though Prescott is going to be tossing the ball around, the shoulder is going to limit how far he can throw. Look for the Cowboys to try and get creative with the play calling and to get the receivers open underneath. Prescott has been strong with the deep ball this season, but that won't happen in this game. This could lead to a lot of throws to the running backs. Tony Pollard caught two passes in the last game against the Rams and Prescott should look for him a lot in this game.
1. Prescott doesn't finish the game
Prescott isn't going to finish the game, and it's not going to be because the team is up big in the game. Sometime in the second half, Prescott's shoulder is going to decide it's had enough and it's going to force him out of the game. When Prescott goes out it will be Cooper Rush who will fill in.
Rush is going to make some mistakes late in the game, which will cause the Cowboys to collapse and lose the game. With a loss the Cowboys won't control their own destiny and they will probably miss out on the playoffs.
In the end, it's Prescott's shoulder that is going to cost the Cowboys a chance at the playoffs.
