Outside of Antonio Brown, the market for wide receivers in the NFL is barren. Until Dez Bryant re-enters it. On Wednesday, the former Dallas Cowboys superstar indicated that his return to the field is near. He will begin searching for teams in two weeks, as he said on Twitter.

Since his release from the Cowboys in the 2018 offseason, Bryant, 31, has received little interest on the open market. Last season, the New Orleans Saints finally bit the bullet by signing him to pair up with Michael Thomas. Unfortunately, that did not last long. Bryant suffered a torn Achilles days after signing with the team. The recovery from the injury tends to take the better part of a year; in some cases, players never return.

It's fair to wonder how much Bryant has left in the tank after his Achilles injury. It can be a death-blow for an athlete, particularly one that depends on their surreal athleticism, such as Bryant in his Cowboys heyday. Nonetheless, it's hard to argue that Bryant was not a dynamic force with Dallas. In eight seasons with the Cowboys, Bryant tallied 531 receptions for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns.

Though Bryant is coming off of a torn Achilles, one can presume that there are some wide receiver-needy NFL teams interested in trying it out.
