Since winning Super Bowl 52 over the New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles fanbase has subtly thrown shade at their opponent over the last few months.
The latest came with a Boston-area Dunkin' Donuts location receiving a shipment of Eagles cups for their coffee. Complaints from Patriots fans made headway over social media this past weekend. In response to that, the company issued a statement on behalf of that location. according to Jim Hand of The Sun Chronicle.
“We appreciate our loyal customers for bringing this to our attention, and we are taking steps to ensure all of our local stores are stocked with the correct cups. Go Pats.”
This was yet another opportunity for Eagles fans to poke fun at the Patriots before the start of the season. Prior to that, there was a billboard in support of Philadelphia prior to their preseason matchup last month.

The Eagles now have the target on their back as the defending Super Bowl champion, with every team looking to dethrone them. It puts them in the territory that the Patriots have excelled in for quite some time in the AFC under head coach Bill Belichick and star quarterback Tom Brady.
There is plenty of excitement for the upcoming season with both franchises expected to make deep runs once again, as both the Eagles and Patriots are favored to get back to the big game for a Super Bowl rematch. The table is set for both franchises to put together successful campaigns with two of the strongest rosters in the NFL.
