Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles led his team to a Super Bowl 52 victory over the New England Patriots to earn the organization's first Vince Lombardi Trophy.
His strong performance against the defending champions also led to a hilarious kink on the internet as he comes up as the owner of the Pats when it's searched on Google.
The 29-year-old didn't falter on the grandest stage, putting up a stellar outing against the Patriots led by Tom Brady, who is widely recognized as arguably the best quarterback in NFL history. Foles completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns. He also held a 106.1 passer rating and recorded a receiving touchdown in the process of becoming the first player in NFL history to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl.
Article Continues BelowHeading into the game, there was plenty of questions surrounding whether he could replicate the huge performance he had against the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game two weeks prior. He more than answered the bell being a major reason why the Eagles have won their first Super Bowl in franchise history. What was quite impressive about his outing is that he didn't look phased in any instance, even when things became intense in the fourth quarter with the Patriots completely erasing a 10-point deficit.
Foles calmly responded with a 14-play, seven-minute drive that gave the Eagles the lead for the rest of the way. He made a couple of huge plays on the drive that further cemented that notion with a huge 4-and-1 converted on the Eagles' side of the field that could have ended their chances of winning the game.
All of this makes this Google Search that much more comical, but at the same time reasonable given how Foles looked against the Patriots. It's just simply another clear reminder for the Patriots of what accomplished in Super Bowl 52.
