The offseason seems like it's been going on forever, and we — including the Green Bay Packers — are barely into free agency. Things have picked up speed a little bit, but there are still plenty of great free agents out there.
And, of course, the NFL Draft is yet to come.
Due to that, there is no need to panic. If a team has not filled all of it's holes yet, there is still plenty of time to do that.
For the Green Bay Packers, that's where they are at. They've done a few things, but still have much left to be done. Particularly, they need to continue looking into free agency.
In fact, there are two specific free agents that they need to try and sign. Who are they though?
Robby Anderson

This one is really simple in my opinion. Robby Anderson is an ultra-talented wide receiver. He's enjoyed four really good years with the New York Jets. Now a free agent though, he's yet to sign with anyone.
And oh, would you look at that? The Packers could use some help at receiver. Davante Adams can't continue to be expected to do everything by himself. Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are solid options, but not number two receivers.
Anderson would be an immediate upgrade. He's a deep threat who can burn past the defense, but be a reliable short-yardage option if needed.
Honestly, he seems like the perfect fit besides Adams. And imagine the numbers he could put up with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.
At this point, Anderson's price tag might have lowered and it could be extremely reasonable now.
Green Bay needs to jump at this opportunity. At just 26, Anderson's already proven himself to be a great receiver, and we might not even have seen his prime yet.
They constantly talk about wanting to get help for Rodgers and Adams. Well a prime opportunity is staring them in the face. Go make it happen.
Joe Flacco

This one is a more out of left field. However, the Packers desperately need a backup quarterback.
Flacco probably wants to go somewhere that he can start, or at least compete for a starting spot. That's not happening in Green Bay.
That being said, he might not have many options. If the well dries up, he'll just want a job. And Green Bay currently has Tim Boyle and Manny Wilkins as their backups. Those two have combined for four career passes (all from Boyle).
With both being undrafted rookies within the last two years, it's not like either is seen as the potential successor to Rodgers either.
So it would be smart to get a veteran backup. That way, if something happens to Rodgers, they have someone that they can actually trust to win them games and keep them as a playoff team.
Now, there were talks of the Packers drafting a quarterback this year. If they do though, he shouldn't see the field.
They'll have the rookie as a backup to Rodgers anyways. So if he's sitting and learning, you might as well keep it that way instead of thrusting him into a role if the QB goes down with an injury.
So even if the plan is to draft a QB, a veteran backup is necessary. Flacco has a great resume and could come really cheap for a one-year deal. Why not at least look into it?
