The Green Bay Packers are headed toward another season that could see them miss the playoffs after suffering their fourth loss in the last five games.
This has seemingly placed an even greater spotlight of scrutiny on head coach Mike McCarthy's job security with the Packers over the last five weeks of the season. In response to that, BetOnline.ag has currently put the highest odds on McCarthy to be the next head coach to be fired.
Things have continued to unravel for the Packers as the season has worn on with the team continuing to see their season head south. They yet to have success on the road dropping their first six games, including eight overall away from Lambeau Field dating back to last season. Meanwhile, there is a lingering internal issue between him and star quarterback Aaron Rodgers not exactly seeing things eye to eye. All of this has piled up even more of the writing on the wall that his time in Green Bay could be coming up shortly.

Much of this could largely rest on the Packers reaching the playoffs as they are currently out of the picture sitting at a 4-6-1 recording heading into Week 13 action against the Arizona Cardinals. This has put the team in the spot of essentially having to win out the rest of the way in order to even have a chance to secure one of the two wild-card spots in the postseason.
Up to this point, Green Bay doesn't look like a team that can turn on the switch toward making a run as they have fallen short in disappointing fashion in seemingly each of their last four losses where they have chances to secure a win. Instead, it has seen things shift in the other direction. Ultimately, McCarthy looks to have his back against the way over the last five weeks of the season with his job status with the Packers at stake.
