The newly proposed NFL CBA has a lot of people talking. Possibly the most noteworthy part in the entire thing, the proposal for a 17th regular season game.
This has been controversial at best. Players seem to be upset for obvious reasons that they have made very clear. Many have pointed out that the NFL has constantly preached player safety. However, adding a 17th game would be the exact opposite of ensuring player safety.
According to Peter Bukowski on Twitter, Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers has let his feelings be known on the subject.
Aaron Rodgers sums up his position nicely
"Tell me what I can go back and tell my veteran players … what are we getting for this 17th game?"
His answer: Basically nothing

So Rodgers, like many others, seems to have the same feeling. To translate this, it sounds like the quarterback is frustrated because the players don't gain anything from this 17th game.

This would not raise their salaries, and it would just present more opportunities for injuries.
Simply put, this 17th game idea has not gone over very well with players. There are definitely some that seem to like the deal. The loud majority, however, seem to be extremely against this proposal of the new CBA.
Due to that, it does not seem all that likely that this will get passed. And if it does, expect players to be even more vocal about their distaste for the 17th game.
