Mike McCarthy spent 13 years with the Green Bay Packers. The veteran head coach, who was fired during the 2018 campaign and later signed with the the Dallas Cowboys prior to 2020, will make his return to Lambeau Field on November 13th. The Cowboys and Packers rivalry is always enticing but McCarthy's return to Green Bay will enhance the stakes.
Despite plenty of winning seasons in Green Bay, McCarthy led the Packers to just one Super Bowl victory. On the other hand, he only endured 3 losing seasons as the Packers head coach during his Green Bay tenure. He was arguably one of the best regular season coaches in Packers history. But his inability to lead the team to consistent Super Bowl victories undoubtedly left a bittersweet feeling with Packers fans.
But he should receive a warm welcome in his return. He and Aaron Rodgers built a dynasty together in Wisconsin.
