The Green Bay Packers are continuing their free-agent shopping spree, agreeing to terms with offensive lineman Billy Turner, according to Tom Silverstein of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

This marks the fourth significant signing for the Packers, as they also agreed to sign pass rusher Za'Darius Smith, safety Adrian Amos, and linebacker Preston Smith prior to landing Turner.

Turner spent the 2018 campaign with the Denver Broncos, where he played in all 16 games and made 11 starts, playing both tackle and left guard.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at North Dakota State, was originally selected by the Miami Dolphins in the third round (67th pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in just two games during his rookie campaign, and the following year, he became a full-time starter at right guard for Miami. The Dolphins then proceeded to waive Turner in October 2016, and he was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens. However, the Ravens then quickly waived him themselves, and Turner then made his way to the Broncos.

Turner appeared in eight contests between Miami and Denver that season, making two starts for the Dolphins. The Shoreview, Minnesota native then participated in just one game for the Broncos in 2017 before becoming a more integral piece along their offensive line this past season.

The Packers are coming off of a 2018 campaign in which they went just 6-9-1 and missed the playoffs, marking the first time since 2006 that Green Bay had failed to qualify for the postseason in back-to-back years.

As a result of their struggles, the Packers fired long-time head coach Mike McCarthy late in the season and eventually replaced him with Matt LaFleur in January.
