After coming into the 2018 season with the hardest strength of schedule in all of football, the Green Bay Packers seem to have it just a little bit easier in the coming season.

CBS Sports’ John Breech recently ranked every team’s strength of schedule (via 247 Sports) for the 2019 NFL season, and unlike last year when the team was dealt the hardest hand, the Packers now seem to have an average schedule, coming in at a tie for the 14th easiest schedule.

More importantly, however, is how their strength of schedule ranks in the NFC North, and by the looks of it, Green Bay is set up well. According to Breech, the Packers currently aim to have the second-easiest schedule in the entire division, just ahead of the Detroit Lions, who are projected to have an even easier schedule.

The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings aim to have the toughest and second-toughest schedules in the NFC North, respectively. Despite the seemingly easy schedule, not many opponents on the Packers schedule are “easy” opponents.

Not only will they have to travel for games against the Cowboys, Giants, 49ers, Chiefs, and Chargers, but they’ll also have to play the Eagles, Panthers, Broncos, and Raiders at home while also playing their NFC North rivals. Add on top of that the installation of a new head coach and offensive system, and the Packers might not have such an easy year.
