The Green Bay Packers square off with the Chicago Bears in the first game of the NFL season. Not just their first game, but the first game on the entire schedule of the NFL – on Thursday night.

A matchup between divisional rivals shouldn't disappoint, but many people are already talking about the elite Bears defense.

Green Bay running back Jamaal Williams recognizes their greatness. However, according to Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com, he also knows something else – “everybody is mortal.”

This is great commentary for the game. Williams is acknowledging that the team they're going up against is beatable, without actually insulting them. He's simply stating facts. No one is perfect, no one is immortal.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense have made a career out of doing exactly that. Going into games against top-tier defenses and putting together a strong performance.

At the end of the day, that's all that Williams is getting at. He knows they face a tough battle on Thursday. Isn't every game tough though? In the same thought process, isn't everyone beatable?

The Packers need to go into this game like they will every other one. Knowing they have to play their game to win. If you let the other team dictate the game, things won't end well for you. For the Bears, that would be letting the defense get into a groove and slow your offense down to a complete stop.

Will it be easy for Williams and the Packers' offense on Thursday? Probably not. But hey, everybody is mortal.
