Green Bay Packers placekicker Mason Crosby was seen suiting up in his helmet and pads on Sunday afternoon at the team's training camp.
The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reported Crosby's activities at the Pacers camp, joking Green Bay has a “kicker competition” with the normally nonchalant special teams player participating in a kicking routine.

Crosby, 34, has been with the Packers organization since 2007 when Green Back selected the Colorado Buffaloes kicker in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1 Texas native owns an 80.4% field-goal percentage with the Pack.
Article Continues BelowWinning a Super Bowl with the franchise in 2010-11, Crosby has been a mainstay of the special teams unit for Green Bay since 2007. The Packers signed Crosby to a four-year extension in March 2016, however, entering the final year of the deal, he was placed on the injury list in July last month dealing with a calf injury.
While Crosby suits up for the first time in training camp and practices with the nagging injury, he'll have “competition” with 26-year-old journeyman kicker Sam Ficken. Ficken, undrafted in 2015, has only seen four career NFL games, all with the Los Angeles Rams. He's also seen time on the practice squad rosters of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks before the Packers took a flyer on the Penn State product during the normally iron man Crosby is sidelined.
Despite the injury, Crosby would enter his 13th season with the franchise in September, appearing in 193 consecutive regular-season games for the Pack.
He made 30 of 37 field goal attempts last season and 34 of 36 of his extra-point attempts.
