Incoming Packers head coach and Skip Bayless' least favorite person, Matt LaFleur, says that he “can't wait” to start coaching his team at the Lambeau Field.
LaFleur, who spent a year coaching at Notre Dame, on impressions of Green Bay: "It has that college feel about it. … There's no place, in my opinion, in all of sports that is like game day at Lambeau Field."

With the official announcement of LaFleur becoming the head coach for the Packers, the team has said that a “new era” is upon them.
Despite the fact that LaFleur didn't earn a fan in Skip Bayless, he certainly has a lot of fans in other parts of the sports world — including his own team's quarterback.
The official Packers position was that Aaron Rodgers would have “no input” in the choosing of the head coach. Unofficially, of course, it's a completely different story.

“The conversation went great. I can tell he’s a passionate guy, and he wants to win. And I think that holds true for me as well. So I think we’re in alignment there because, like I said before, this game is about winning. I know that he wants to add to his legacy, and the only way we’re going to accomplish that is to win a world championship.”
Matt LaFleur then went on to say that, not long after he'd received the call from Rodgers, he'd received a call from Packers CEO Mark Murphy and G.M. Brian Gutekunst. At that time, they'd offered him the job.
Fans — and commentators — then concluded that LaFleur got the job because he was the guy that Aaron Rodgers ultimately wanted.
