Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien used to be the quarterback's coach and offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots so he has spent a lot of time around Tom Brady. Ahead of the Texans' Week 1 meeting against the Patriots, O'Brien was asked if he saw any similarities between Brady and his current quarterback, Deshaun Watson.

O'Brien pointed to his young quarterback's passion for football as the trait that he shares with the Patriots legend.

“I do, I do,” O'Brien said via NBC Sports. “Deshaun is in that regard, very passionate about football. Loves to watch tape, loves to talk about the game, come in early, stay late. Always has good suggestions, ideas on game plans or certain things that maybe our defense was doing in training camp, how can we take advantage of that, this, that and the other whether it was a preseason game or against our own defense. So he really loves the game and it shows every day.”

There is no question that Brady and Watson are completely different quarterbacks. Watson is a guy who can get out of the pocket and have success and Brady is a guy that is in big trouble if he's out of the pocket.

Just because they approach the game a different way playing style wise they are both guys who take their job very seriously preparing for it. Watson will get his chance to return to the field during a regular season game on Sunday when the Texans take on Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium. The expectations are high for the Texans and a lot of how they will do falls on Watson.
