Deshaun Watson came into the 2018 NFL season expected to pick up where he left off last season. That did not end up being the case, as Watson got off to a bit of a slow start. Despite the slow start, Watson is an extremely talented quarterback and is hoping to win the state of Texas bragging rights this week with a win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Drew Dougherty of Texans TV shared a quote from Watson on Twitter that shows just how much he wants to win this week's game.

Houston is 1-3 on the young season and are in desperate need of picking up a second straight win. Dallas, on the other hand, is 2-2 and are hoping to get back above .500 and prove that they can compete in the NFC. This game could have serious late-season implications on top of Texas bragging rights.

Watson is going to have to come through with a big game in order to lead the Texans to a win. He has put up solid all-around numbers so far this season and had a big game last week against the Indianapolis Colts.

In the four games he has played this season, Watson has completed 62.2 percent of his pass attempts for 1,246 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. He has also run for 161 yards and a touchdown.

At 23 years old, a lot is being asked of Watson. Houston believes they can compete in the AFC this season, but it will take a huge effort from Watson and the Texans' offense.

Expect to see this week's game be played with a lot of pride on both sides of the football. Houston and Dallas are both wanting to win Texas bragging rights and it should lead to an entertaining game.
