Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson said he would “for sure” play in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills despite a chest injury he suffered against the Dallas Cowboys. As it turns out, Watson looks set to back up that bold guarantee of his.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Watson is expected to start against the Bills despite his chest injury. Watson was limited this week in practice and was listed as questionable due to that chest issue.

After starting the season with three consecutive losses, the Texans have bounced back with back-to-back dramatic overtime wins against the Colts and Cowboys. Watson was an instrumental part of those victories as he threw for 375 yards and at least 40 rushing yards in each of those wins.

Through five games this season, Watson is completing 65 percent of his passes for 1,621 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions. On top of that, he's also added 201 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

Watson’s also getting hit pretty consistently, though, which continues to be a concern for the Texans. He’s already been sacked 18 times this season, which is tied for third in the league. His health is critical for the team’s success, and they just can’t afford to see their star quarterback taking this much of a beating.

But despite a bruised chest, Watson will suit up against the Bills, which is still good news for the Texans. He’ll look to get them back up to .500 with a win against a Buffalo team that has been surprisingly feisty.
