Through his first ___ seasons in the league, Houston Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt has proven to be one of the most special talents that the league has seen at his position.

All of this has put him in the position to elevate himself into elite company as he's just one sack away for 80.0 for his career that if he's able to reach that on Sunday afternoon against the Indianapolis Colts it would put him just behind Hall of Famer Reggie White to reach that mark.

Watt has slowed on that pace over the last couple of seasons due to injuries, but it is a remarkable feat if reached in Week 4 as he has proven throughout much of his career that he is an elite talent. Things haven't necessarily gone his way with his health the last two seasons, but it shouldn't diminish where he is about to potentially put himself in league history. White is an all-time talent that is widely regarded as being one of the best players ever to play the game behind the disruptive nature of his game that was incredibly difficult to game plan against him each week.

The 28-year-old has been off to an encouraging start this year currently ranking among the top of the league with 3.0 sacks through the first three games played. There have been questions about whether he can recapture that form that helped him earn three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards, and has shown continued improvement with each passing week. The Texans may not be off to an encouraging start to begin the year, but Watt's play should have them enticed about lies ahead of him for the rest of the 2018 campaign.

If Watt is able to continue to stay healthy and play at an elite level, there could many more impressive feats ahead of him in the next chapter of his career.
