Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller has been a key part of the team's offense when he has been able to stay healthy. The franchise was excited to have him back against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but that did not last long. Fuller went down with a groin injury fairly early in the game and did not return.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network via Pro Football Talk, Fuller will miss Week 17 at least due to the injury. He may end up missing more time.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Fuller is expected to miss the team’s Week 17 game against the Titans, which means a lot more to Tennessee than it does to the Texans. The week after that is the Wild Card round, which is much more meaningful to Houston and, per the report, Fuller only has an “outside chance” of playing in that game.

That's a tough loss for Houston. DeAndre Hopkins is one of the best receivers in the NFL, but he is even more dangerous when he has speed on the outside. Thankfully, Kenny Stills is on the roster and can help fill the void left by Fuller, but the Texans need a healthy receiving corps for the playoffs.

On the season in 11 games, Fuller has caught 49 passes for 670 yards and three touchdowns. He has dealt with nagging injuries for most of the season. If he could stay completely healthy, it's obvious how big of an impact he could have.

Houston will take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 17. Hopefully, Fuller will only miss one game and will be back for the playoffs.
