The Indianapolis Colts have had an interesting start to the offseason considering that there have been many questions on if they are going to return quarterback Carson Wentz.
The Colts went 9-8 last season and certainly didn't have the year that fans were hoping for as they failed to reach the playoffs.
It's tough to say that their failures were all on Carson Wentz last year, but there's no doubt that he could have been better for this Colts team and they would have been in a different position if he did perform the way that they were hoping for.
According to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich had this to say,
“Colts HC Frank Reich: I still believe in Carson Wentz. I stuck my neck out to get him here. We’ll see if he will be here or not. That decision has not happened yet, but you also can’t fall into the trap of just assessing players in small snap shots.”
The rest of the offseason for the Colts will be interesting to watch. There will be a plethora of quarterbacks available to chase and bring in to get this team back to where it was a few years ago.
Indianapolis may become instant Super Bowl contenders if they can land a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, which is precisely what this franchise wants.
