The Indianapolis Colts have been pretty busy thus far this offseason, first adding wide receiver Devin Funchess and then making a big splash by signing linebacker Justin Houston.
Well now, the Colts may be adding another defensive player to the mix.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Indianapolis hosted linebacker Shane Ray on Friday, just one day after they landed Houston.
Ray spent the 2018 campaign with the Denver Broncos, playing in 11 games and finishing with 10 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble.
The 25-year-old has been saddled with injuries over the last couple of seasons, as he appeared in just 19 contests combined between 2017 and 2018. In the former year, Ray totaled 16 tackles and a sack.
Ray, who played his collegiate football at the University of Missouri, was originally selected by the Broncos in the first round (23rd pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Then, the following year, Ray played in all 16 contests, racking up 48 tackles, eight sacks, a forced fumble, a couple of fumble recoveries, and a defensive touchdown.
The Kansas City, Mo. native seemed primed to break out in 2017, but wrist issues have plagued him ever since, as he has undergone three wrist surgeries.
Still, if Ray is healthy, he is a force, so this could potentially represent a low-risk, high-reward pickup for the Colts.
Indianapolis won 10 games this past season and went on to defeat the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round.
