The Indianapolis Colts have made an effort to improve their receiving depth this offseason, signing former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess. However, the Colts can still use some more playmakers alongside of T.Y. Hilton, and they may explore the draft to find them.

According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Indianapolis has hosted University of Mississippi wide out A.J. Brown, a clear indication that Indy is considering adding another receiver next month.

Brown is coming off of a junior campaign at Mississippi in which he hauled in 85 receptions for 1,320 yards and six touchdowns.

He arrived at Ole Miss back in 2016, catching 29 passes for 412 yards and a pair of scores in a rather subdued role during his freshman season. However, the following year, Brown broke out, snaring 75 balls for 1,252 yards while reaching the end zone 11 times.

The 21-year-old has also met with the New England Patriots, New York Giants, and Philadelphia Eagles, so Brown is certainly drawing considerable interest around the NFL, as expected.

The Colts won 10 games this past season, making the playoffs in spite of an ugly 1-5 start. Indianapolis then went on to upset the AFC South division rival Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round before falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round a week later.

By making the postseason, Indianapolis snapped a three-year drought. Prior to the Colts' playoff hiatus, the franchise had made three straight postseason appearance and had made it an incredible 12 out of 13 years, only failing to qualify in 2011 when Peyton Manning missed the entire season with a neck injury.
