Deshaun Watson is undeniably on the trade block and is available for the majority of teams. However, one team he will not be traded too is the Indianapolis Colts.  According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, the Houston Texans are comfortable dealing Watson away but prefer to not trade within the AFC South division. The Colts had previously attempted to speak with Watson about playing in Indianapolis, but the Texans declined their request.

Trades do happen within divisions in professional sports, but Houston is in the midst of a rebuild and they don't have any desire to help their rivals improve. The Colts are in the market for a quarterback following their trade of Carson Wentz earlier in the offseason. Indianapolis is likely a strong QB away from becoming a legitimate contender after narrowly missing the postseason this past year. The team has arguably the best running back in football in Jonathan Taylor, so their request to talk to Watson made sense. Featuring the duo of Taylor and Watson in the backfield would have been a game-changing transaction.

But Houston has made it clear that they will not link up with the Colts for a Watson deal.

The Saints, Browns, and Panthers have all been listed as potential landing destinations for the controversial quarterback. Watson last took the field in 2020 when he threw for over 4,800 yards to go along with 33 touchdowns.

Watson will likely be on the move in the near future, but the one thing we know is that it will not be too a team in the AFC South.
