Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas appears upset following the team's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. What seems to make him even more upset, however, is that the defense fell victim to the play of “subpar” quarterback Blake Bortles.

“Right now, it’s not [easier to think about coming division games],” Thomas said, via Sean Quinton of the Seattle Times. “Because, you know, that was a subpar quarterback. They had a great game plan. They out-executed us, which can’t happen. You’ve gotta take advantage of these things.”

To be fair to Earl Thomas, he didn't call Blake Bortles trash or anything. Just mentioned that he is below the average standard of an NFL team.

On a running bit on the Dan Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, the radio show interviews Chris Simms daily to do a QB power rankings, in which Simms has Bortles ranked as the 70th best gunslinger in the NFL.

So, you know, Thomas is not alone in this way of thinking.

To his credit, Bortles has an idea why people get so sour about losing to the Jags.

“Teams aren’t used to getting beat by the Jags,” Blake Bortles said. “We beat the crap out of them for 60 minutes.”

Like it or not, the Jaguars seem to be legit.
