Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomesblockbuster deal has put the entire sports world on notice. The lucrative contract certainly did not go unnoticed by Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Deandre Hopkins.

Hopkins took to Twitter to praise Mahomes for being worth every penny while taking a shot at his former team in the process:

For those that may be unaware, Hopkins is referring to the Texans' choke job against the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs that saw them blow a 24-0 lead.

It is no secret that Hopkins' stint in Houston did not end on the best of terms with head coach Bill O'Brien. Of course, O'Brien certainly has not helped his case after the debacle versus Kansas City by trading Hopkins and a fourth-round pick away to Arizona for running back David Johnson, a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick in 2021.

Although Hopkins has expressed his excitement with being part of this revamped Cardinals offense, he clearly has no problem adding salt to the wound for the Texans. While he may have been part of the loss to the Chiefs, there was not much more the four-time All-Pro could do after hauling in nine receptions for 118 yards.

It is safe to say that Hopkins' savagery knows no bounds and there does not seem to be any love lost for his former team. The fact that there is plenty of truth to his comments regarding Mahomes' deal is just the cherry on top.
