Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill left quite a cliffhanger for the debut episode of his “It Needed to be Said” podcast, which will be released on June 10.

In the podcast trailer, Hill, co-host Julius Collins and well-renowned sports agent Drew Rosenhaus all took a look back on the wideout’s departure from the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in the offseason. Rosenhaus once again confirmed that he made a push to come to terms with Chiefs team officials on a contract extension agreement for the wideout.

Collins then posed a question where he asked if it “was a situation to suppress his [Hill's] stats, to drop that value down when it came to a potential trade or signing?” The trailer for the podcast then cut off there, but Hill has now provided an answer to Collins’ question.

“I will say this, they did not suppress my stats,” Hill said at his youth football camp in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday.

As mentioned, Rosenhaus attempted to provide his client, Hill, with a new extension deal. However, he noted in March that Davante Adams’ move to the Las Vegas Raiders “flipped everything upside down,” as he then shifted his approach to making Hill the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL today. Talks eventually broke down on this matter, and the Chiefs ultimately decided to ship the versatile receiver off to the Dolphins.

Hill had a roller-coaster year in what turned out to be his final season in Kansas City. He did record a career-high 111 receptions, although he posted an 11.1 yards per touch average — the lowest since his rookie campaign.

The Chiefs have since moved on from Hill's departure, as they signed the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to bolster their depth at the wide receiver position.
