With less than a week before Super Bowl LV kicks off in Tampa Bay, the Coronavirus pandemic continues to cloud the NFL. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Damarcus Robinson and center Daniel Kilgore have both been placed on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The designation was due to possible exposure to a close contact. The Chiefs pair will enter protocol, though NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said none of the players have tested positive for the virus. If the two continue to test negative they should be available for play.

Even with their COVID-19 woes, the Cheifs are in good shape heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Following a Super Bowl win, Kansas City were even more dominant finishing the year 14-2, with Patrick Mahomes returning to the MVP race to help the Chiefs snatch the AFC's No. 1 seed.

Andy Reid's team has an opportunistic defense and an offense loaded with the league's most reliably explosive weapons – from Mahomes to Tyreek Hill to Travis Kelce down to Mecole Hardman.  They fended off a feisty Browns team in the divisional round despite a late head injury to Mahomes, then cruised past the Bills, claiming their second straight AFC title

The Chiefs and Buccaneers met earlier this season in Week 12. When the two sides clashed then, the Chiefs went up big early on– grabbing a 17-0 lead. The Bucs pulled within three in the fourth quarter, largely due to Tom Brady being Tom Brady. Ultimately, Kansas City were able to seal the victory, 27-24. This time around though, anything can happen. One thing is for certain: the Chiefs aren't strangers to playing through adversity.
