Playing in the biggest of games requires emoting confidence. With Super Bowl LIV just hours away in Miami, Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is rocking some seriously stylish sunglasses.

Alongside Mahomes and his pregame outfit is rookie running back and kickoff/punt specialist Mecole Mardman, who wore a full pilot jumpsuit, visor included, going into Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Dolphin's home turf. It looks like head coach Andy Reid's team is channeling Tom Cruise in Top Gun as the high-octane offense hopes to score major points on the scoreboard on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers—arguably the best defense in the NFL this past season.
Mahomes won last season's MVP, but the Chiefs fell short of Super Bowl glory when they lost in the conference title game to the eventual champion New England Patriots. It has not always been good luck when someone on your team wins the MVP, as the NFL is experiencing a 20-year drought since the MVP won the Super Bowl (Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won the honor yesterday, and his team was eliminated in the divisional round against the Tennessee Titans three weeks ago).
Nevertheless, Mahomes and the Chiefs are hoping to give Reid his first bling-bling—a Super Bowl title could cement the head coach's legacy after striving so hard for years to win it all. Reid nearly beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX when he was coaching the Philadelphia Eagles. Today could be Reid's best chance at the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
