Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes made his second consecutive conference championship game in Sunday's tilt against the No. 6 seed Tennessee Titans. The 2018 NFL MVP added another feat into the franchise record books by throwing the most touchdowns in Chiefs history.
Patrick Mahomes recorded the achievement on Sunday in the second quarter with a touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill—his tenth of his playoff career, according to The Athletic's Nate Taylor.

At just 24 years young, the 6-foot-3 Mahomes has emerged as one of the brightest stars for Kansas City and in the NFL. In 2018 Patrick Mahomes threw a league-leading 50 touchdowns en route to his first MVP award in his second season (after only appearing in one game during his rookie year).
During the 2019 regular season the former tenth-overall pick from Texas Tech threw for far fewer touchdowns but was no less effective despite a kneecap injury sidelining Patrick Mahomes for two games.
During the 2018 season Patrick Mahomes brought the Chiefs to the brink of their first Super Bowl appearance in nearly 50 years but fell short to the eventual champion New England Patriots in the conference title game.
During that postseason campaign, in January of 2019, he threw three touchdowns in two games. Through two (incomplete) games this time around, Patrick Mahomes has added seven TD's, upping his total to ten—the new Chiefs record.
Patrick Mahomes is trying to drag the Chiefs to Super Bowl LIV despite a leaky defense. It would be Kansas City's first appearance in the clash since Super Bowl IV in 1970, which was their only Super Bowl win. It occurred before the AFL-NFL merger.
