Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill had to be transported to a local hospital in Jacksonville after suffering a shoulder injury against the Jaguars in a 40-26 win on Sunday, according to B.J. Kissel, aka Chiefs Reporter.

Hill suffered the injury in the first half of the game, presumably when Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey finished a tackle with emphasis. His was initially considered questionable to return.

The Chiefs head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder said on the injury, via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:

“Tyreek Hill had an injury in the game where he landed on his shoulder. He had a sternal clavicular joint injury which is where your clavicle comes into your sternum. Those can be injured coming out the front, up top or in the back. It goes posteriorly or back it becomes a medical issue for us so that we worry that there's more problems.

His came back posteriorly and he didn't have any medical issues but we still transported him to Baptist Medical Center [Jacksonville] and we turned his care over to Brett Frykberg who is an ortho-trauma physician. Scott Mullen one of our physicians is with him — he's from Kansas University Health System.

He's being treated there to reduce the dislocation or the injury. We don't have anymore update on that.”

Hill finished the game with two receptions for 16 yards and one rush for five. It's unknown how long he will be out with the injury.

However, considering Sammy Watkins' three-touchdown game, the Chiefs offense can handle the brunt of losing Hill momentarily as they'll likely play his return to action with a cautious approach.
