The Miami Dolphins have now won three games in a row after taking down the New York Jets 24-17. The Dolphins came into MetLife Stadium and took care of business against a team that they were better than.

This was an impressive win for the Dolphins regardless of the fact that they are a better football team than the Jets. Miami has losses this season to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Atlanta Falcons. If Miami took care of those games they would be tied for second place in the AFC East and only one game behind the New England Patriots. Beating teams that they are supposed to beat shows the life of a good football team and that's what Miami was able to do on Sunday.

There were some impressive spots for the Dolphins this Sunday. Let's take a look at a few key takeaways from the Dolphins Week 11 win.

3 Takeaways from Dolphins Week 11 Win

3. The old defense is still here

After the loss to the Buffalo Bills where Miami only gave up three points in the first half, Superstar defensive back Xavien Howard said that the Dolphins are going back to their playbook from last season where they had one of the better defenses in the NFL. Now, it is questionable why the Dolphins ever decided to change that considering how good they were defensively a season ago. Hopefully, this made the Dolphins realize that they need to stick with what was working. The past three weeks have shown exactly that.

In the last 3 weeks, Miami has given up nine, 10, and 17 points. This shows that the Miami Dolphins defense a season ago clearly works. They found something that they need to stick to in the future.

2. Tua is good enough to be the QB1

Once again, Tua Tagovailoa continues to show that he can be a good starting quarterback in the NFL. He had an incredible game against the Jets with 273 yards on an 82% completion rate and two touchdowns. He did throw one interception. That was a young quarterback mistake where he should have just thrown the ball away.

Every time that he is the starting quarterback for the Dolphins they usually find success. They are well over .500 with him as the starting quarterback.

1. There's a chance to sneak into the playoffs

It could be far-fetched, but it is a very real possibility. The Dolphins' next four games are very winnable as they are taking on the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, New York Jets, and the New Orleans Saints. If the Dolphins can walk away with four wins they will be 8-7 on the season and could be in a spot to make the playoffs.

The Buffalo Bills have shown the past few weeks that they are not that great. The New England Patriots are a good football team but there is also a chance that they can explode at any moment. All the Dolphins can control is winning out. The next four weeks are a perfect opportunity for them to do so.

Although this was just a win against the New York Jets, this was still an impressive win for this Miami Dolphins team.
