Miami signed the 34-year-old to a one-year contract after starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill tore his left ACL in training camp that effectively ended his 2017 season. He wasn't able to take the field in the Dolphins' first preseason game last Thursday against the Atlanta Falcons due to the lack of practice time with the team

Before joining Miami, Cutler was on his way to working with Fox Sports in the broadcast booth to cover several games this upcoming season. He had been limited to just five games in his final season with the Chicago Bears due to a shoulder injury where he posted 1,059 passing yards with four touchdowns and five interceptions

Given the lack of interest across the league this offseason, this which could more than likely be his Cutler's last shot at extending his NFL career as a starting quarterback.
