The Miami Dolphins made a huge splash in the NFL offseason when they acquired former Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill in a blockbuster trade. Hill's arrival in Miami gives quarterback Tua Tagovailoa an elite weapon- while also giving the Dolphins one of the league's best receiver duos with Hill and second-year pro Jaylen Waddle. Having ran a 4.37 40-yard dash, Waddle can fly, though he might not be able to reach the heights of his teammate Hill, who ran a ridiculous 4.29 dash and fully earned his nickname, The Cheetah. Asked about a potential race against his teammate, Waddle got honest about how to beat the former Chiefs star, as reported by Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.
Jaylen Waddle on his race with Tyreek Hill: “You can’t just race the Cheetah straight up, you’ve gotta sneak up on him.”

Waddle said that in order to beat Hill in a race, one can't just line up and begin the race. According to Waddle, sneaking up on Hill is the way to go.
Given Waddle's wheels, pulling a fast one on Hill would probably do just enough to give him the edge in a race. However, as Hill showed when he was on the Chiefs, having a head start doesn't necessarily guarantee out-running him.
While he may not beat his teammate in a race straight-up, Waddle can take solace in the fact that not many defenders will be able to catch up to the two Dolphins teammates either this season.
