Josh Gordon is set to play for a new team and will likely find out his new destination this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. EST. After the New England Patriots decided to release him, Gordon is now waiting to be claimed off of waivers. One team to keep an eye on is another AFC East team, the Miami Dolphins.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Dolphins could very well claim Gordon. He mentioned Gordon's connection to Dolphins' offensive coordinator Chad O'Shea as a good reason why.

Should Miami want to claim Gordon, they would get him automatically. The Dolphins are currently first on the NFL waiver order. That list goes essentially from worst to first in terms of order.
Article Continues BelowIf the Dolphins decide that they don't want to claim Gordon, there are quite a few teams that could be interested in him. Among those teams are the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Oakland Raiders, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Gordon is going to be a very popular player if he hits the open market.
Gordon has had a rough season this year during his time with the Patriots. He has caught 20 passes for 287 yards and a touchdown this year. Obviously, this numbers were not what New England wanted to see from him and a change of scenery is the best option for both parties.
All of that being said, it will be interesting to see where Gordon will play the next chapter of his NFL career. Miami certainly seems like a good bet at this point in time.
