The Miami Dolphins have done a fine job of strengthening their team this offseason on both sides of the ball and they're looking to become even better. The team is hosting former Kansas City Chiefs pass-rusher Melvin Ingram on a visit.
Interesting free agent visit for the #Dolphins: Former #Chiefs pass-rusher Melvin Ingram is visiting today, per me and @TomPelissero. He came on strong last year in KC, now a potential addition in Miami.

Ingram joined the Chiefs midway through 2021 via a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers and played a key role in KC improving defensively. The Dolphins would love to sign a player like Ingram, who could bolster their pass-rush alongside the likes of Emmanuel Ogbah and Jaelan Phillips.
Article Continues BelowLast season, Ingram registered 25 tackles and 15 in just nine games with the Chiefs. This is actually the second year in a row he's visited the Dolphins, which clearly means there is a sense of interest. The three-time Pro Bowler's best years came in a Los Angeles Chargers uniform, but he's still capable of contributing.
The Dolphins are looking like a whole different beast heading into 2022, bringing in the likes of Tyreek Hill and Chase Edmonds while re-signing several important pieces. Their rushing defense was actually relatively decent last year, ranking 13th in the league. Adding a veteran like Ingram who knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL would undoubtedly be seen as a positive.
It will be interesting to see if the Dolphins pull the trigger this time.
