While the 2019 season might not be going the way some Miami Dolphins fans would have hoped, the 2020 season hosts a brighter future for the Dolphins. Along with having a boatload of draft picks in the upcoming years, it was announced that one of Miami's home games next season will be played internationally.

While the location of the game and who their opponent will be is still unknown, the Dolphins will likely have an advantage as they hold a strong international presence due to previous games played overseas. The Raiders, Bears, Buccaneers, Panthers, Bengals, Rams, Texans, and Jaguars have all played in London so far this season with the Chiefs and Chargers scheduled to travel to Mexico City in Week 11.

As the NFL is attempting to grow its international presence, sending a Dolphins team that just picked up their first victory of the season is an odd choice, but given their popularity, it might be a smart move on the league's part.

Miami fans will hope that when they do indeed travel internationally, the team will be better than 1-7. The organization is looking towards a future that will likely feature three first-round draft picks and two second rounders in that international game in addition to having $120 million in cap space for the 2020 season.

Better days are ahead for the Dolphins and with the right guy at the helm in Brian Flores, Miami could see a massive turn around from this season's end.
