With Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones set to enter free agency in the coming weeks, it comes as no surprise that the Pro Bowler has emerged as one of the hottest names in the market. As it turns out, the Miami Dolphins are expected to have a run at Jones, with the 26-year-old reportedly also open to a move to Florida.

Article Continues BelowGreen Bay Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones has the Dolphins among teams he’s willing to consider. And the interest is mutual, according to a league source.
The Packers continue to take their time on Jones, who they will now allow to enter free agency. Jones himself earlier spoke about his future — be it in Green Bay or not — and it does appear that he is not closing any doors. As such, a parting of ways with the Packers in the offseason remains to be a distinct possibility.
It is worth noting, however, that Miami will need to dig deep into their pockets to lure Jones away from Green Bay. He's already established himself as one of the best running backs in the NFL today, and he certainly won't come cheap. A potential Jones signing will have a significant impact on the Packers' overall salary cap.
Moreover, the Dolphins will need to contend with other sides that have likewise shown interest in Jones. Teams such as the San Francisco 49ers, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Chicago Bears, and the New York Jets have all been linked to a swoop for the highly sought-after RB.
