The Minnesota Vikings lost in disappointing fashion yet again on Monday night, a loss that has both put their playoff chances in question along with bringing more concerns with their offense. Star wide receiver Adam Thielen voiced following Monday's 21-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks that the players deserve plenty of the blame for their offensive shortcomings over the last few games, according to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Although Thielen noted that the players should get their share of the blame, the Vikings decided to part ways with offensive coordinator John DeFilippo on Tuesday morning. There are changes Minnesota feels are necessary to push them forward, and moving on from DeFilippo was a part of this equation to get them shifted back in the right direction for the final stretch of the regular season.

The offense has been a shell of itself in the past two games, with their passing game struggling to get going with any consistency. This was supposed to be the foundation of their attack, led by their trio of quarterback Kirk Cousins along with wide receivers Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. However, the New England Patriots and Seahawks both honed in on stopping their passing game, which put the Vikings in a bind as they have had notable struggles running the ball.

Ultimately, the Vikings now have their backs against the wall in the final stretch of the season. They still have the benefit of sitting in the final wild-card spot, but unless they figure things out offensively, those playoffs aspirations may vanish.
