It has been quite the journey for quarterbacks Case Keenum and Nick Foles. Just two seasons ago, both had been floundering with the Los Angeles Rams before taking their perspective roads to the NFC Championship Game.

Even though the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings had claimed the top two seeds going into the playoffs, there was still some speculation as to whether their quarterbacks could lead them to the promised land. Even Keenum acknowledged their struggles up to this point by poking some fun at reporters during his press conference via NFL Network:

“I know this is what all you guys predicted back in the day, a Foles vs. Keenum NFC Championship, so good job to all you guys who predicted that,” Keenum said to reporters with a smile.

Keenum went on to say nothing but praise for his former teammate.

“Great football player… he prepares well. He is extremely talented, big arm and he's really, really athletic too,” Keenum said. “I know he's got a lot of confidence and I'm looking forward to playing against him.”

Both quarterbacks spent some time competing with one another during their tenure on the Rams back in 2015. Although Foles had captured the starting spot to begin with, he was ultimately replaced by Keenum late in the season.

After the Rams traded up to get quarterback Jared Goff, Foles was subsequently released and did a brief stint with the Kansas City Chiefs before ending up back with the Eagles. Meanwhile, Keenum signed a one-year deal with the Vikings after being replaced by Goff last season. Needless to say, all three quarterbacks have made tremendous strides since their tumultuous time under the Jeff Fisher regime.
