After a disappointing season last year the Minnesota Vikings have expectations that they can make it back to the playoffs. With the NFL's 2019 schedule finally released we know the path Minnesota will have to take get back on top of the NFC North. There are a few intriguing games on the schedule that should be highly entertaining, but also will be crucial for the Vikings to have a successful season.
Looking at the Vikings schedule the first thing that always jumps out is when they play the Green Bay Packers. Kirk Cousins will head the Vikings to Lambeau in Week 2, and then Aaron Rodgers and the crew will come to US Bank Stadium in Week 16 for a Monday Night Football matchup.

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming to town in Week 6 and it will have all kinds of storylines. There is still the talk about what the Eagles did to the Vikings in the NFC Championship game two years ago, even though Minnesota did beat Philadelphia last year. The biggest storyline involves the Eagles though, as this will be the first time the team is playing at US Bank Stadium since they won Super Bowl 52.
Article Continues BelowOn paper, it sure seems the Vikings have a tough schedule on the road. They have to play the Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Seattle Seahawks away from home.
The last game that sticks out is when the Washington Redskins come to town in Week 8 for a Thursday night matchup. Case Keenum and Adrian Peterson will be coming back to Minnesota.
There is a good chance that the next time Adrian Peterson is in Minnesota after this game is when he is going into the Vikings Hall of Fame.
