The Minnesota Vikings have been going through a quarterback carousel situation for a few seasons now. Luckily for the National Football League franchise, talents like Stefon Diggs say none of that actually matters.
By way of Pro Football Talk Live:
“It’s not something we talk about or even think about in the receiver room,” Diggs said. “We’re going to support them no matter who it is, no matter what’s going on, no matter the situation, we’ve got faith in whoever they put back there. We’ve got to catch the ball anyway regardless of who’s throwing it.”
For some context: The Vikings opened the season with Sam Bradford at quarterback. Simple enough, right? But then Minnesota went to Case Keenum after Bradford’s Week One injury, and may now go to Teddy Bridgewater if he can climb back from injury.
This is only a short time removed from Bridgewater being the future of the franchise, then going out with injury, which resulted in the Vikings trading for Bradford. Keenum, who few realized was still in the NFL, has done a relatively nice job trying to fill the void of two gunslingers who come to the position with much more hoopla attached to them.
As for Stefon Diggs, of course it doesn't bother him who is playing quarterback. That guy is as electric a talent the league has today, and all he needs is someone to put the ball near him. After that, even if the pass is at the line of scrimmage, he has the potential to do something special with the ball in his hands.
