One of the major storylines following the Super Bowl last year involved New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady having his game jersey stolen.

The entire ordeal lasted a few months before authorities in Mexico got involved to finally repossess the items from a major newspaper director in the country. With that in mind, Brady has made it clear that he only wants to retain the jersey from Super Bowl LII on one condition, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

The 40-year-old is set to play in his eighth Super Bowl with the chance to get an unprecedented sixth ring. This is also his third trip in the last four years which could see him win back-to-back titles for the second time in his illustrious career.

Despite being in his 18th season, Brady is still playing at an elite level, putting together another MVP-caliber campaign leading the NFL with 4,577 passing yards while finishing third with 32 passing touchdowns, a 102.8 passer rating, and fifth with a 66.3 completion percentage. He continued to put together strong outings in the playoffs to lead the Patriots to the biggest stage in football again.

In two wins in this year's playoffs, Brady has completed 67 percent of his passes for 627 yards, five touchdown passes, zero interceptions, and a 105.0 passer rating. He recorded at least 290 passing yards and two touchdowns in each of those contests, the latest coming with a cut on his right thumb that required 12 stitches.

The Philadelphia Eagles could present a difficult challenge for Brady and the Patriots on Sunday afternoon. Their defense has taken their play to the next level, allowing just 17 combined points in their two playoff wins over the formidable offenses of the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons. We should be in for an entertaining contest between the top two teams in the league this year.
