Since the New England Patriots fell short to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, the wide belief has been that star quarterback Tom Brady will return for the 2018 season. He is entering the first year of the two-year, $41 million deal he negotiated last offseason.

However, there have been some recent questions about Brady's NFL future, with him not outright stating that he will be back for another year. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, that discussion appears to be put to be bed with the 40-year-old reportedly setting up offseason workouts with his teammates this summer.

Consider this fact: Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Brady already has made arrangements to get together with some of his teammates between the end of the offseason program and the start of training camp in order to better prepare for the season to come.

Brady has made these camps a regular part of his offseason regimen to establish a connection and understanding on the field with his wide receivers. This year could be more important than usual given that they don't have Danny Amendola nor Brandin Cooks in the mix.

Meanwhile, it assures that Brady is committed to at least playing another season, and it should silence the chatter that he could be stepping away this year. What should also be taken into consideration is that he has yet to voice any reason to believe he is considering retiring at this point in his career, as he previously stated that he wants to play well into his 40s.

Brady is coming off another highly productive campaign where he demonstrated that he is still an elite quarterback, winning the third MVP award of his career while leading the Patriots to a third Super Bowl appearance in the last four years. At this point, it would be quite surprising for him to call it quits when he is still playing some of the best football of his career.
