During the New England Patriots organized workouts this week, star quarterback Tom Brady has been notably absent from the process. This has drawn up chatter about his commitment to playing in the 2018 season or even beyond that.
There hasn't been any significant about that being the case, but that has only persisted with him continuing to be away from the team. Despite that, Michael Giardi of NBC Sports Boston is reporting that a couple of Patriots teammates have spoken to Brady and the discussion about the 2018 season have never included him voicing any chance that he wasn't going to play for his 19th season.
A pair of Tom Brady's teammates tell me they've spoken to the QB this offseason, including discussions about the upcoming season, and he's never indicated he wasn't playing/retiring. Also, Brady continued his normal workout regimen/diet to this point, even while in Qatar.

The fact that Brady hasn't even brought up that possibly should be an encouraging sign that he's committed to playing at least another season. There hadn't been any reason to be otherwise given his well-documented desire to play into his mid-40s. He is coming off another highly productive campaign that earned him the fourth MVP award of his career along with finishing with a clean bill of health heading into the offseason.

He is still playing at an elite level and is coming off his third Super Bowl appearance in the last four years, which he could have the opportunity to get back to that point once again next season.
Brady's desire hasn't truly wavered at this point as his body has continued to hold up due to his unique diet and training regimen that has allowed him to get the most out of his ability on the field. All of this chatter may simply be linked him not being present at the voluntary workouts during this week.
The further along it gets into the offseason, the likely more involved Brady will be without the offseason process.
