The New Orleans Saints fell short of making the Super Bowl last season. Running back Alvin Kamara's inability to play at full strength throughout 2019 was definitely one of the root causes of the problem. However, he believes that he's back to full strength this coming season.

The electric running back admitted that he wasn't playing his best during 2019. He also claimed that he should be able to bounce back without question. According to Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams, it seems that the running back is more than ready to return to regular programming with the Saints.

The NFL’s official account tweeted some of Kamara’s top moments last season. Kamara replied, “On 1 leg. . .At 75%. . .but we back to 100.”

He was correct on claiming that he was virtually running on one leg. The Saints back struggled with injuries for the first time in his career, and he wasn't able to run as comfortably as he would have liked. This makes his season tally of 797 rushing yards and five touchdowns all the more impressive.

While Kamara was impressive in putting up decent numbers in spite of his injury, the fact that he didn't play to his full strength cost the Saints dearly during their postseason run. The Minnesota Vikings managed to boot them out of the Wild Card round. He was a non-factor during that 26-20 overtime defeat, only managing to get 21 rushing yards to go with his single rushing TD.

Now that he's more comfortable with his leg, Saints fans can now expect their star runner to put on a show in 2020. Hopefully, he will be able to run his way to a Super Bowl appearance.
